A way to stop people from sleeping in class is hands on learning. Not only do they have to be awake to participate but if they get into that subject later on in life it will help them out. Many people fall asleep while the teacher is lecturing them. With hands on experience you give them instructions and let them try it. With a lecture all you do is talk to them for hours which they might go to sleep.
Discussing and observing the concept in action are both good ways to educate. I think observing the concept from the action is a slight better. You see with your eyes what your doing and how the mistakes are made. With discussing you talk and talk and talk. The students will get bored and go to sleep.
Not only are discussing boring but they might forget what you said. Many people can learn both ways but i prefer hands on. Lets say you have to learn how to switch your car brakes. If all you do is read and listen which you might fall asleep in you are not going to learn anything. With the hands on training you can mess up and do it again to fix were you mest up. Hands on training is better.
In my opinion the best to learn is hands-on because your actually doing the work and while the teacher is teaching you on the board, thats the easiest way to learn in my opinion. By discussing is also good but sometimes people don't really get it by just looking at it and talking about it. I think its better to observe the concepts in action because your doing the problem and looking at it and getting it better.
Like some teachers at the high school like to just to discuss the problem because they think its better and they tell us that we don't need notes but I still take them because thats how I get problems better. I wish all teachers can do hands-on teaching because I will do way better is classes.
The best way to learn in my opinion is by first observing, then copy how to do it, and last actually trying to do it yourself. I like to first observe how to do things; it doesn't matter if it is a math problem or a drawing. If you observe first you will have the steps to waterer it is you are doing, that way you will know if you make a mistake. If one doesn't see an example before doing what they want to do, they are more likely to messup or not do it correctly. If you see an example before you actually try and do it, I think it is better than if you don't. So first one must see an example so we could observe and see every step to the stunt.
After you have observed what you want to do you should copy the steps down (take notes on it). This way you have a reference to see what steps are needed and in what order. This will make it less likely for you to make a mistake in your problem and it will also help you keep it more fresh in your mind. If this is done you will have it better in your mind and less likely to forget it. If you ever do forget it you will have your notes to help you remember of what should be done. This really helps me because many times I know that I have many steps and know what to do in each one of them but I sometimes forget the order in which they must be done. In order for me to keep them fresh in my mind I see and review the notes which help me remember them, I think that copying down the steps will help you remember them better.
Last you should do some problems your self, this way it will make it almost imposible for you to forget what it is you must do. If you practice some problems after you have seen how and taken notes, I know you will remember it faster and better. When I do problems right after taking notes and observing, I tend to remember way faster and almost never forget of what I should do. When I practice by solving problems by my own I will do them fast and not even use the notes I have taken. This helps you in remembering and recognizing how to do the problems, this always helps me and I know that it will help many others if they do it like this.
Well thats the way I think some things should be taught in class and also in some jobs. Some jobs need many steps and workers might have difficulty learning them or remembering them; I think that it will be a great help to teach them this way. This way is, in my opinion, the best way to memorize whatever it is you must do either in school or at work. This won't only help you in your school learning and job but it will also help you in you life things. This could teach you how to do things like change your car's oil, breaks, etc. It could help you with cooking, painting, and even changing pipes. This way of learning will help you now in school and also outside if it, which is why I think we should learn like this, first observe, then copy/take notes, and last do it your self.
There are many different way to learn. I like them all of them. But If i had to choose one I would have to choose a combination of the two choices. I would choose a combination of the two because choosing one or the other leaves a lot to be desired.
When you incorporate both styles into the lesson plan you get so much out of it. So Balance is the best choice.
Look Mrs. Mendenall. I did do the Current Event so the first thing we need to do is study and work on listening to your teacher and you will learn more. For kids or students and everyone who wants to learn. Maybe you can give kids something to do even better after they have done a hard assignment and maybe just maybe they will do there work.
You can give them something to play with just like if they would work on a project and then they would want to work on it. So if have something hands on for them to work on they or we would like it. If you would let us do things for finishing our work on time. Give us like a couple of minutes to our selves besides break and lunch after we finish our work. So thats what i think you should do to get our attention or if that don't work, just use a ruler christian style!
In my point of view the fasest way to make and help people learn is by hands on learning. Although not every person is good at one on one learning there are other learning tactics that can be put to work. Another one of the learning tactics that is a good one is visual learning cause this way the person that is being taught can see how it is done and then try it out themselves.
The people that live in this world are all different and all of there brains function in different manners. So I mean for some people it can be harder to learn than others cause like i said no two people's brain's work the same. Me I am one of the many that if being taught something i has to be just one on one with teacher cause if not it will go in one ear and out the other. and i will not understand it.
For this class Mrs. Mendenal should ask or do a survey of what is the best way for that person to learn in there own personal way.The functions of the way of learning are different and weird for every person and recent studies from the university of Cambridge show that the two top ways for a teenager to learn is my hands on learning or by visual learning.Still for me the best way of learning is hands on.
The teaching stile that I believe is best is hands on teaching. I am only able to learn if I was hands on tout. Hands on teaching is better because you are able to learn and gain experience at the same time. If your hands on learning you won't forget what learned that fast because you were not being distracted as much. I learn and enjoy learning when I am tout hands on. There are people who enjoy learning when given a hands off lecture. I am not able to learn with out hands on training unless someone is there explaining and showing me what to do. The reason I am able to learn hands on better is because I feel like the lecture is for me and I am able to stay focused. That is why am so hard to tach Ms.Mendenall.
I believe hands-on learning is a better way to learn something to know it well. I think lectures leave to many questions behind in your mind. When you learn hands-on its a whole different experience. I also don't think lectures are a good way of learning due that some may become bored sitting there listening.
Lectures can get boring really fast because your just listening, not doing anything. Hands-on, however, you actually get involved in what your talking about. When a lecture gets going you may catch some attention, but as it proceeds I'm sure some will begin to dose off or simply become bored of it. If you got people learning hands-on then they'll be too busy doing something to get bored.
I've personally enjoyed hands-on learning and have noticed the significant difference in my attention span on it. I'm not saying I can't listen, but half of the time when I'm being lectured I seem to loose interest because they're just telling me not really teaching me. If I listen to a lecture I will pay close attention but after a period of time anyone would get bored just sitting and listening. I believe hands-on is the better way to learn simply because your doing it yourself while being instructed, I'm sure it will also keep the attention of anyone longer and better than a boring old lecture.
Its better to do hands on because you no what you are doing when you have hand on. In order for me to keep them fresh in my mind I see and review the notes which help me remember them, People are better at it because they no what they doing when they do it with it people.
What is the best way to learn? Through lectures or by hands-on experience?... The best way that I think would be more best to learn would be hand-on experience because of the fact that you can learn how to do whatever your doing by actually doing it. I think that is more better because it can become more easier if you dot it. Everyone has different ways of having a better way of learning, for some it may be hands-on and for others it may be by lectures. Lectures are also a good way to learn but it gets boring just sitting there and listening all day, I prefer hands-on.
What is the best way to learn? By discussing or by observing the concepts in action?... I think that best way to learn would be by both, discussing and observing, inorder to learn those things are needed. I think that is important to discuss what you are learning because it can make it more easier for you to be able to understand it. Observing is also another good way to learn because you can see if you are doing it correctly or way you may have messed up at.
I think that when you are wanting to learn it would be better to have specific way to learn because it can help you out more. I also think that it is good to have a way to learn because it just is and it may be easier to you that way and harder a different way. idk.
I think that the best way for someone to learn better is hand on. When your hands are on something you learn better. Well thats for me but every one is different. I learn better with hands on. When I touch something I remember it better. Everyone learns in different ways.
The best way to have students follow along on what they are learning would have to be hands-on learning. If they are actually doing the work they won't fall asleep or they wouldn't get bored. They would also have to be awake to do what they are doing. If they are awake then it can make sure they have what they need to do all the work themselves and won't be falling asleep.
Lectures are boring and they make people fall asleep or make them want to daydream. It can also make people start talking to the person they are sitting next to. Which is going to get them in trouble but they are bored and have nothing to do but to sleep or to talk to the person next to them.
If we have more hands-on than it can make everyone pay attention to what they are really learning. It can have people more involved in what they are trying to do. It has more people think than just giving them a worksheet. With a worksheet they just right down the answer and with hands-on or project groups they can have.
The best way to learn something is hands on, and observation. Or at least I think so. Because from my experience just sitting in class and listening to the teacher talk and talk, it gets boring and later do you know your asleep.
Hands on gives you more opportunities to learn and understand the subject. I think we should do more hands on things in school, especially when we get into high school because I believe it would prepare us for college for the better.
I think hands on for subjects such as math and science can be improved, than what it is now, students can learn more and understand more.
I think that the best way to learn is to do things hands on. If you go to a class on how to do things, the thing that they are going to tell you to do is to take notes. But do notes really work?
I think that the best way to learn something is buy you doing it yourself. If you give a homeless man a fish, he'll eat for a day. But if you teach him how to fish he'll have food for the rest of his life.
I think that it also depends on what it is that you are learning. If you learn about a thing that you need to take notes in then that probably the best way you will learn it. But most the time I think that it is better by hands on.
